The Human Security Lab at UMass Amherst is pleased to announce this Fall's inaugural Peace and Human Security lecture by Professor Séverine Autesserre from Barnard College of Columbia University. Professor Autesserre will talk about her new book, The Frontlines of Peace: An Insider's Guide to Changing the World. This exciting new work asks what strategies have worked to build lasting peace in conflict zones and provides key takeaways for the radical changes we need to make to build lasting peace around us.

Then this workshop is for you! Hear from a panel of students that have been abroad, and they will share information about their experiences and answer questions. Hear from a representative from the International Programs Office who will give a short presentation on the process involved in choosing and applying for programs, how to get prepared for your semester away, and financial aid. Get ready to pack your bags!
