Welcome to Advising!

We are excited to welcome you back to campus and we will continue to remain vigilant to ensure health and safety of our students and community.  We are here to help!

Advisors in the Advising Center are here to offer advice and answer questions for students pursuing a psychology major or minor or considering psychology. In addition to the Advising Center, you may choose to see a specialty advisor. The department has advisors for students completing honors, DDHS, neuroscience track, and other specializations or for students interested in pursuing a clinical path.

Dr. Rahhal, Dr. Metevier, Dr. Astheimer, Dr. Cheries, Dr. Davies and Dr. Cave are available to answer your questions on a walk-in basis. We also have a wonderful group of student advisors who are happy to help! We don’t assign you a specific advisor; instead you are welcome to see any of the advisors on a walk-in basis. You may find the advising FAQ helpful to learn more about how advising works.

Because of federal privacy laws, advisors can only speak to students about academic records. If you would like for your parents or other individuals you designate to have access to your academic record, then you must complete the academic information release available at the Advising Center (Tobin 501). That form must be on file at the Advising Center before we can speak to anyone other than the student about academic information.

If you have an email inquiry, send your question to the Advising Center email and one of the advisors will respond shortly.
If your question is time sensitive, we encourage to drop into the advising center in Tobin 501 because email correspondence may take longer.
